Council members took the action during a meeting on May 25. The contract with T&M Associates is in the amount of $9,650. In 2019, Jackson officials purchased 34 acres for $600,000 at 120 Cassville Road. The land was previously connected to the historic Rova Farms property in the Cassville section of Jackson. Municipal officials said the land was purchased for preservation purposes.

Township Council President Andrew Kern, Vice President Martin Flemming, Councilman Alexander Sauickie, Councilman Stephen Chisholm Jr. and Councilman Nino Borrelli voted “yes” on a motion to pass a resolution during a meeting on May 25. According to the resolution, the proposed rate increase would add more than $28 per month to the average ratepayer’s NJNG bill.
