JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) national executive committee member and deputy State Security Minister Zizi Kodwa said that Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane insulted Jackson Mthembu’s memory by not wearing a mask at his funeral.
Kodwa criticised what he called an avoidable situation during a virtual memorial in honour of the late Minister in the Presidency.

PRETORIA - A memorial service for the late Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu is being held in Pretoria.
The minister passed away last week after being hospitalised with the coronavirus.
His funeral was held on Sunday at his home in Emalahleni.

CAPE TOWN - Political parties have paid tribute to the late Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthemb u as a man of integrity and someone who was passionately committed to improving the lives of all South Africans.
Mthembu died on Thursday, at the age of 62, after contracting COVID-19.
He was at the forefront of communicating the government’s messages aimed at combating the virus.

JOHANNESBURG – It has emerged that one of the specialist doctors on board a Netcare helicopter that crashed in KwaZulu-Natal was en route to another emergency after trying to save African National Congress (ANC) member and Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu s life.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize told eNCA that the doctor had cancelled everything and made himself available to attend to Mthembu.
