Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield.
Keogh was delighted by the rising six-year-olds third-placed effort in the Listed
Bob Charley AO Stakes at
Randwick last start.
He said Viridine profiles like a horse that is ready to put his best foot forward fourth up.
“He was exceptional two starts back at Group 1 level in the Goodwood (Handicap) and was just caught wide and is definitely suited back here at the WFA scale,” Keogh told
Racing Pulse.
“Last year we copped a lot of rain and the mudlark Jungle Edge just got up to beat us so he will be better for the improved conditions this time around.”

Away Game will not contest this year’s running of the
Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Del Mar.
Mathiesen said on Friday that connections have opted to keep the daughter of Champion Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel on Australian shores for the time being and will reassess the possibility of running her in the prestigious carnival next year.
Co-trainer Ciaron Maher first raised the prospect of sending Away Game to the states after she won last month’s Group 3 Eureka Stud WJ Healy S. at Eagle Farm in fine fashion.

Patrick Payne believes talented mare
Rubisaki is capable of finishing this preparation on a winning note in Saturday’s 1400 metre Listed
Winter Stakes at
Sydney and will reunite with star hoop
Nash Rawiller.
Her most recent success came when winning a fiercely contested edition of last April’s Group 2
JB Carr Stakes at this track and trip.
“It’s taken a bit of time for her to adjust to being a four-year-old and racing against these older horses but she’s going really well in herself,” Payne told
Racing Pulse.
“I am quite confident she is really easy to train and loves having three weeks between runs but it does just depends on how she measures up against a couple of the other good horses.”

Trent Busuttin and
Hopkins (Race 7 #10) as his best value selection across the country on Saturday.
“I’m looking for a horse down in the weights who has shown a bit of staying promise and I think Hopkins can run really well,” Lester told
The Breakfast Club.
“He was good against the pattern of the day last start at
Cranbourne, he drops 4kgs for that run, he’ll handle soft ground and will run the trip.”
The 3-year-old son of
Widden Stud sire
Zoustar has won once from eight career starts and is set to step out over 2500 metres for the first time in his career.

Odeon can match motors with odds on favourite
Dice Roll in Saturday’s Listed Winter Championship Series Final at
Flemington.
Mathew Ellerton, said his galloper will benefit from meeting the
Nick Ryan-trained import 2.5kgs better off at the weights this time around.
He said Odeon has been set for this race and will improve stepping out over a mile under
Jamie Kah.
“This race has been our goal all the way through as the 1400 metres last start wasn’t ideal and we just had him ticking over,” Zahra told Racing Pulse.
“I’m just disappointed that there’s no speed in the race and I think the best ride might win the race because we don’t want him to be left a sitting duck.”
