Jackson County will take over management of the Joseph H. Stewart Recreation Area at Lost Creek Lake effective by the beginning of April, state officials said on Wednesday. Oregon Parks and Recreation is transferring the park to Jackson County Parks oversight as of April 1. The county will be charged with maintaining the day-use area, campground, and Lost Creek Reservoir Marina operations over the next two years with the option to renew the agreement for three years beyond that.
