My Story, My Song - this year s event takes place online on Sunday evening, January 17th at 7.30pm.
The online event presents a stellar lineup of Irish artists who will perform unique versions of the songs that have helped them through tough times.

It promises to be an intimate evening of performance, discussion and personal sharing from talented performers including Emma Langford, Wyvern Lingo, Stefan Murphy, Nealo, Jack O Rourke and many more.

Ronan Leonard has been looking forward to the return of an institution in Cork as it takes its first steps back to a full return to live music
‘It’s our first time having SON [aka Susan O’Neill],’ says Edel of Coughlan s, who describes her as a ‘brilliant artist’.
“I’ve missed having our doors open it’s like a part of you is missing.”
Not seeing customers or having live music has been very difficult for Edel Curtin, who runs Coughlan’s (current holders of the IMRO National Live Venue of the Year award).

With Sarah Jarosz and Mick Flannery having already played this week it is safe to say the White Horse Ballincollig Winter Music Festival is already in full swing. But tonight’s concert promises to be a rare treat for those interested in Americana, Appalachian and bluegrass music.
Playing fiddle, banjo and Cajun accordion, multi-instrumentalist Dirk Powell has recorded and performed with artists such as Emmylou Harris, Levon Helm, Jack White, Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne and Loretta Lynn. But there are several more stroings to his mighty bow. Powell has worked with such film directors as Ang Lee, Spike Lee, Edward Burns and Anthony Minghella. Through the latter’s Cold Mountain he struck up a friendship with Brendan Gleeson which saw the Dublin actor dig out his fiddle and join in on sessions with Powell.
