Board chair Dwayne Sampson, an Adams appointee, had tried to upend long-established rules and replace the acting executive director Jasmine Georges-Yilla with his own pick.
Saying he was not fully aware of Monday’s dramatic emergency session of the board, Adams said he appoints boards and then steps back. He said Sampson “is bringing a level of experience on how to run the board, and they’re going to go through their moments.”
