What may be the most anticipated Minor League season ever opens on Tuesday. After the cancellation of the 2020 schedule, 120 teams at four levels and the vast majority of MLB Pipeline s Top 100 Prospects will get back to playing games that count next week.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have unveiled their roster for the 2021 season. The 27-man group includes 14 pitchers, three catchers, six infielders, and four outfielders.
Buddy Bailey returns to the Pelicans as the manager for his fourth season after leading the club from 2016-18. During his first stint, Bailey won three half-season Southern Division Championship titles, one Southern Division Championship title, and the Carolina League Championship in 2016. Bailey has also tallied 2,140 career regular season victories, and in 2017 became just the 11th minor league manager to reach the 2,000-win plateau. This year will mark Bail

A lawsuit involving Jackie Robinson West, the Little League team that captivated the country in its historic championship run in 2014, has been settled and a separate lawsuit against the team’s two coaches has been dismissed, according to those involved with the case.
Volunteer coaches Darold Butler and Jerry Houston were caught up in the legal battle over whether Jackie Robinson West used ineligible players. Eventually, Little League stripped the team’s national title.
John Bowley, an attorney for Butler and Houston, said the dismissal has exonerated his clients.
The team’s title, however, will not be restored, a Little League spokesman said Tuesday.
