The joint West Elgin and Dutton Dunwich arena board will reconsider whether to remove the ice from the West Lorne facility in light of its closure since Boxing Day when provincial restrictions halted indoor group assembly.
West Elgin council heard the board will make a decision during an upcoming meeting.

Lee Gosnell, manager of operations & community services said the temperature was raised to save money on running the compressor. Without people inside the facility, the equipment also doesn’t cycle as often, creating further savings, Gosnell added.
