A free turkey dinner was provided Dec. 12 to community members who are either home alone or cannot be around family this year due to Alberta’s COVID-19 gathering restrictions.
The turkey dinner was made possible by teaming up with community members and organizations, said Connie Clement, who, along with Sandy Stoddard and Lynn Jones, came up with the idea of organizing the free turkey dinner.

About 40 turkey dinners, plus dessert, a treat bag and pop, were delivered Dec. 12, and around 20 local residents dined in the lounge at the Vulcan Curling Club, with a Christmas gift bag being provided per table, and a few people picked up meals, said Clement.
