Clean baseball. No errors. Fielders made plays, pitchers threw strikes. And this is a Little League game we’re talking about.
In a battle of unbeatens between all-star teams from neighboring leagues, Alpine came out on top of Menlo-Atherton, 2-1, in a District 52 12-U winner’s bracket game Saturday at Middlefield Park.

Alpine got all the runs it would need in the second inning. Starting pitcher Timothy Harrick led off and reached base after drawing a walk. Sullivan Fischbein singled up the middle and after an out was recorded, Jax Cannon dropped a single into center to load the bases.
