All That was the blueprint for a bunch of up-and-coming child actors. Many of the stars ended up starring in their own series and/or have found success after the show. The show is currently in it s 11 season on Nickelodeon with a brand new cast. The newest iteration has brought back many of their original cast members as Guest Stars and both Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell as executive producers.

Also present was the show s voice director, Andrea Romano, who explained why the project was so groundbreaking for the world of animation. According to her, the project really helped the anime style become appreciated as a respected . art-form for kids programming. They turned a corner in a big way, she said, going on to reference the fact that while classic anime (like Gigantor and
Kimba the White Lion) had beautiful animation, their voice-work was God-awful. She continued: [Creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko] knew from the get-go . what was going to happen 60 episodes later. They had it mapped out in stories, three books of 20 episodes each and had it figured out what each of you [the actors] would be doing. That s pretty remarkable.

Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action adaptation has been slow, fans were reenergized with the announcement of a cast reunion on Jan. 9. Dante Basco, who voiced Zuko in the beloved animated series, has rounded up Jack de Sena (Sokka), Grey Griffin (Azula), Michaela Murphy (Toph), and more to join him for the virtual event.
Basco tells EW the reunion came out of a desire to alleviate his feelings of boredom and helplessness during the pandemic. He started with Twitch streams to rewatch
Avatar and brought on former costars. Their efforts have raised over $30,000 for COVID relief and the Trevor Project. It was the perfect opportunity, as Basco says he s never watched the whole thing from the beginning to the end.

Avatar: The Last Airbenderwill be reuniting in 2021. Word of the big event came from Dante Basco’s Twitter account and fans are absolutely ecstatic about the development. Fans of all ages really got back into the show this year during the pandemic. Also adding to that surge of popularity was the fact that Netflix uploaded the entire run onto their service this summer as well. So, with not a ton to do, people were all too happy to revisit their favorite animated series. Joining Basco are Jack de Sena (Sokka), Grey Griffin (Azula), Olivia Hack (Ty Lee), Cricket Leigh (Mai , Jennie Kwan (Princess Suki), and Michaela Murphy (Toph) to name a few of the actors.
