So George Stephanopoulos got his scoop with a “gotcha” question. But the fallout could be disastrous.
Yes, Vladimir Putin has reportedly had about two dozen people murdered, and soon maybe Alexei Navalny. But you can’t call a head of state a murderer no matter how true. You just can’t. And why energize your enemy for nothing?
Presidents have to be “diplomatic.” President Joe should have been ready for a “gotcha” question. He should have said something like, “No matter how I answer that question someone will get mad and international relations might be damaged, so I’m not going to answer it.”
After reading Jack Batson’s column, I was outraged regarding the notion of whole families.
Batson stated, in part, “We Americans – white, Black, Brown – . . . .” I am finally down from the ceiling from rage.

I often read the On the Left column, not because I enjoy it or agree with it, but to see how some “on the left” think.
I understand that Jack Batson doesn’t like Donald Trump. I get it: Apparently at least half of the country doesn’t like him. Joe Biden ran and won, mostly on that platform.
I, like many other Republicans, am not a Trump fan, but believe that most of his policies were good for America.
I voted Republican (Trump) both times, not because I am a “Trump supporter,” but because despite his many flaws, I felt he was less bad than Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden (especially when Biden is controlled by the far left).
This is the final installment of my analysis of our immigration crisis. Its solution will test whether our democracy can act decisively to solve big problems. If the Democrats fail, it is conceivable that Americans will return to the anti-democratic political right that is so energized.
