On day four at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, Kansas won a thrilling 11-10 game versus TCU to advance to the semifinals of the conference tournament before dropping a heartbreaking 8-6 game on a walk-off home run to No. 8 Oklahoma.
Taking advantage of Texas State’s mistakes helped the Frogs make up for some miscues of their own as they win their first midseason matchup 6-5. TCU only had one error according to the scorebook, but a few other misplays allowed the Bobcats to stay in the game after the Frogs got out to a 5-0.
The Frogs secured the three-game sweep in a battle of the bats with an 11-6 win in eight innings behind strong performances from Karson Bowen and Logan Maxwell. Maxwell also had three hits, going 3-4 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored. Bowen went 3-5 with a double, one home.
