Beloved Southern cookbook author Nathalie Dupree and her husband Jack Bass have retired and moved from Charleston, South Carolina to be closer to family. As part of the downsizing for their new home, they are having an estate sale, and the treasures to be found there are amazing. Nathalie not only wrote cookbooks, but was a featured culinary writer for the Charleston Post and Courier, hosted a PBS cooking show, and received multiple James Beards awards.
Items in the auction are rich in history, such as the aprons she wore on her TV shows. Money from the sale of these items will go to the local Charleston chapter of the culinary organization Les Dames d’Escoffier, which Nathalie has been a leading member of for many years. You’ll also find plenty of Cuisinart and Le Creuset products (they were sponsors of her television series). The auction also features high end gadgets, cookware, tableware and linens, and kitchen trinkets and souvenirs galore.
