A 24-year-old woman from Canton, Ohio, is facing murder charges after her 17-month-old son died from allegedly being beaten with household furniture Monday.
Officers were responding to an indecent exposure report in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue Northeast shortly before 5 p.m. when they encountered a nude woman walking on the sidewalk, WDTN reported, citing Canton Police Department chief Jack Angelo.
The woman was identified as Mary Guarendi-Walker, WJW reported.

CANTON - Canton police have found some of the lacrosse shorts stolen last week.
A box of uniforms for the Stark County Catholic Schools lacrosse team were removed from a coach s vehicle April 30.
The box contained 40 pairs of shorts for third- through eighth-grade teams.
A buyback event has not occurred in the Canton area since the 1990s.
Police Chief Jack Angelo has read the conspiracy posts on social media and none of them are true. There is nothing dark or shadowy about this (event), he said.
