Bahamians tune up for conference championships Charisma Taylor.
As they have been doing all season, Bahamian collegiate track and field athletes continued to put on a show on the indoor athletics circuit this past weekend. Bahamian athletes are gearing up for their respective conference championships.
Putting on some impressive performances in her events over the weekend was Washington State University (WSU) Cougars’ junior Charisma Taylor. She posted a school-best and meet record in the 60 meters (m) hurdles and posted another meet record in the triple jump. She won both events at the Texas Tech Matador Qualifier that was held at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday.

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) â The Minnesota State Mavericks womenâs track and field team is moving up in the national rankings.
After taking the third spot last week, MSU checks in at number two on the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Poll following a strong showing against Winona State this past weekend.
MSUâs Jacey Simmons and Katie Taylor both received NSIC Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for their performances. The two combined to post three top 15 marks in Division II.
