Professor Anthony Harnden, deputy chairman of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), has suggested a booster jab may be needed in August or September ahead of the winter season. The JCVI was tasked by the Government to come up with the priority list for the rollout of the jab, which has seen more than 22 million people given their first dose.
