Muskegon makeup company started by 9-year-old ‘business girl’ shipping orders to other states

The recently launched Muskegon company started as a summer project last June.
“My mom said ‘Aliyah, you can have a business.’ I said, ‘Okay, so I won’t be bored anymore,’” Aliyah said.
The then-8-year-old and her mom Diamone Hughes started learning how to make and package lip gloss. By August, they started the business.
LeeLee Kisses sells a range of lip glosses, a signature chapstick and jewelry. Most of the handmade, vegan products are targeted toward younger customers, like the lip gloss in the form of a popsicle and unicorn bracelets.
