As part of the Rogers State University Foundation’s 50th anniversary celebration, four individuals and an organization are being recognized as “Heroes of The Hill.”
The ONE awards, established in 2008 by J. Jerry Dickman, the late Chapman Foundation trustee, and Tulsa businessman Joe Moran, annually awards cash grants ranging between $5,000 and $10,000 to extraordinary Oklahoma nonprofits.
The Scissortail Park Foundation was the top prize recipient named among numerous winners recognized by the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits during the recent annual Oklahoma Nonprofit Excellence Awards ceremony and dinner.
A new exhibit opening this week at the Edmond Historical Society and Museum will explore some of Oklahoma’s musical history, and the exhibit’s featured musicians – Kyle Dillingham and Horseshoe Road – will perform at a grand opening on Saturday.
