Bali Bhagat said the land had been with his family for the past 60-70 years, and that he did not know how and when the Revenue Department made the allotment of this land to them under the Roshni Act.
The Court held that the land allotted to Displaced Persons from PoK has been under unauthorized occupation by the Union of India since 1978. Additional rent should be paid for the period from 2009 on, the Court added.
The government orders issued Wednesday states that the terminated employees have allegedly been a "threat to the security of the state" and that in the "interest of the security of the state, it is not expedient to hold inquiry into the case".
