NEW YORK, NY – Due to overwhelming demand, five additional shows have been added to the Queen + Adam Lambert summer tour. Brian May, Roger Taylor + Adam Lambert will play second shows in Uncasville, Conn. and Toronto, Ont. and will add three new cities, Boston, Mass., East Rutherford, NJ and Atlantic City, NJ, to the highly anticipated tour. The 24-date tour, which is presented by Live Nation, now wraps on Monday, July 28 in Toronto, Ont.

While the rest of the world hangs off the words of a 94-year-old royal with a penchant for showy hats, in Newark, there’s only one Queen who matters.
That would be Queen Latifah, who was born in Newark and grew up in nearby East Orange. The actress-rapper-extraordinaire volunteered Tuesday to receive her COVID-19 vaccination as part of a public information campaign.
“You hear a lot of things out there in the media, and they are very concerning and very frightening and very scary but being in a hospital on a ventilator is much more frightening than what’s going to happen getting a shot in the arm that is here to prepare our bodies to fight this thing,” Latifah said in the Essex County College gymnasium, before receiving her first dose of the shot.

Latifah, a Newark native who grew up in East Orange, stars in “The Equalizer” on CBS. Scenes filmed in Jersey City and Paterson can be seen in the pilot, and the production is based inside the former Izod Center in East Rutherford.
The series, premiering in the highly coveted post-game spot, features the multi-hyphenate entertainer as Robyn McCall, a former CIA agent who becomes a guardian angel to the vulnerable.
