A report of a Valentine’s Day domestic violence incident has led to the arrest of a Baxter County man, 45-year-old Joseph Copes of Mountain Home.
Izard County Chief Deputy Charley Melton says on the morning of Feb. 14 law enforcement responded to the incident at an address on Corinth Road.
Upon arrival, a deputy observed several spots of dried blood on the stones on the walkway and steps of the porch to the house.
While talking with individuals inside the residence, the deputy learned Copes had been staying with his girlfriend in a small building on the property.
