Holton has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and 1 count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), on Friday, July 2, 2021, at approximately 1:20 p.m., the Department received a report of a three-vehicle collision involving two passenger vehicles and a commercial tractor-trailer on eastbound Interstate 10 at milepost 82, near Tonopah. Investigators determined the two passenger vehicles, a GMC Envoy driven by Holton and a Nissan Altima, driven by Natisha Nicole Moffett, were initially traveling westbound on I-10.
