The medieval temple of The Holy Forty Martyrs in the town of Veliko Turnovo keeps priceless historical evidences of the greatness of Bulgarian rulers. Among them are the columns of Khan Omurtag (815-831) and of Tsar Ivan Asen II .
A record-setting number of people visited the historical fortress during the last three days.
This was announced by the director of the Regional history museum of Veliko Tarnovo Ivan Tsurov. He revealed that the number of visitors on May 1st were 5200, and yesterday - 5300.
Tsurov considers these numbers to be new records.
