ROADWORKS invariably bring headaches to everyone – traders, drivers, pedestrians and residents all. Those that went on in New Street in 1992 covered all the bases but there was still room for a little humour in 1992 when a prankster took to leaving dummy legs and fake notices in an effort to lighten the mood. The Worcester News even put up a £50 charity donation to the reader who managed to unmask the joker. A mystery caller revealed the New Street prankster to be none other than 55-year-old Ivan Steele.
