Getting the homeless to come in off the streets. It seems keeping warm is easier said than done. Most of us, though, had somewhere to call home and get out of this cold. For those who dont, there is help. David holloman with the office of Supportive Housing tells me his outreach teams will be fanning out across the city during this snap of frigid weather, encouraging the homeless to come into the shelters. What they usually do, they have a Good Relationship with the majority of people on the street, so they are double checking the folks. Outreach program come out here and talk to me. He tells me hed rather be here than in a shelter, too much relocating and he cant bring all of his things.
