Dayan brothers named as suspected tax evaders Amir and Yitzhak Dayan, among Israel s wealthiest businesspeople, are suspected of evading tax and concealing hundreds of millions of shekels. The gag order has been lifted on publishing the names of the two Israeli billionaires arrested on suspicion of tax evasion and concealing income of hundreds of millions of shekels, following a request by Globes and other Israeli media outlets. The businessmen are Itzik and Amir Dayan, members of one of the richest families in Israel. The Dayan family owns huge amounts of commercial real estate in Europe and Israel including hotels and hotels franchising rights under the name Africa Israel Hotels. They also own a controlling stake in TLG Immobilien AG, traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, which has a market cap of over €3.2 billion, and is the third largest real estate company in Europe. The Dayans also own Luxembourg based real estate company Vivion Holding.

Israel may hand Palestinians COVID-19 vaccines, deputy health minister says

Israel will consider handing the Palestinian Authority coronavirus vaccines if ends up having a surplus of doses, Deputy Health Minister Yoav Kisch tells the Kan public broadcaster. “Israel is ensuring it has more than 100% of the vaccines for Israel,” Kisch says. “If we see Israel’s needs have been fulfilled and we have more capabilities, we will definitely also consider helping the Palestinian Authority.” However, he adds, “Israeli citizens will come first.” The West Bank is going through a severe outbreak, as is the Gaza Strip. The PA is expected to receive some 4 million doses of Russia’s vaccine, but that may not be enough and there are still doubts about that vaccine.

Yamina says it rejected Likud offer to join government, prevent elections

Yamina says it has rejected the proposal. Reports say Netanyahu’s Likud offered Naftali Bennett’s party the defense portfolio and two more senior ministerial jobs, including transportation minister.
