A German court on Tuesday convicted a 97-year-old woman of being an accessory to more than 10,000 murders for her role as a secretary to the SS commander of the Nazis Stutthof concentration camp during the Second World War.
A 97-year-old woman who worked as a secretary at a Nazi concentration camp was found guilty on Tuesday of aiding and abetting the murders of more than 10,500 people during World War II.
"I am sorry for everything that happened, and I regret that I was in Stutthof at the time. That's all I can say," Irmgard Furchner told the court.
