Insist others should steer clear of Itsekiri’s internal affair
Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILoT, the apex Itsekiri body has assured that all differences around succession to the throne of Olu of Warri would be resolved amicably.
The Chairman, Chief Edward Ekpoko told Saturday Vanguard yesterday that the apex Itsekiri platform had been meeting with all stakeholders to ensure that all issues were resolved, stressing that whatever were the differences would soon be resolved.

The Iyatsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe, has said the Itsekiri nation met all the requirements before Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko was unveiled as the Olu-designate in Ode Itsekiri on Monday.
Speaking over the allegation by Chief Ayiri Emami that only the Ologbotsere can perform such traditional duty, Amatserunleghe, who is also the acting Chairman, Warri Council of Chiefs and Olu Advisory Council, noted that all traditional rites were duly observed, stressing that what happened in Ode Itsekiri was the voice of Itsekiri nation.

WARRI: Matriarch of the Rewane family of Warri, Chief Florence Elemi Rewane has passed on. She died this morning in Lagos state.
She was the oldest chief in Warri kingdom. She was a member of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, LoT.
Chairman of the apex Itsekiri forum, Chief Edward Ekpoko told the Vanguard in Warri, that Chief Rewane died at the age of 90 years, adding that she would have been 91 by April this year.
He said Chief Rewane was the oldest Chief in Warri kingdom in terms of year of conferment of title and age, adding that she was also a member of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thought.
