This is the first study to “demonstrate the presence of the COVID-19 virus in the penis long after the initial infection in humans.” The researchers from the University of Miami School of Medicine suggest that “widespread endothelial cell dysfunction from covid-19 infection can contribute to ED.” The researchers believe that COVID-19 can damage the peniIe blood vessels that supply blood to the penis, noting that “endothelial damage associated with COVID-19 is likely to affect the penile vascular flow, resulting in impaired erectile dysfunction.” This is very concerning!
