Another victim of the fire at BM Container Depot in Chattogram's Sitakunda upazila succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital today (June 12, 2022).
At any given time, firefighters can lose their lives in line of duty. Yet, they go ahead with the job at hand, because they know that if not them, no one else is there to come to the rescue of those in need.
The UN has said the devastating fire at the BM Container Depot is a reminder of the need to work together towards effective industrial and enterprise safety frameworks and their enforcement.
“We were all together after the fire broke out at the container depot. Nayan was the first to go on Facebook live – providing updates on the fire. At one point there was a huge explosion, triggered by the fire. Nayan went silent and the screen went dark,”
