stipe sang, where the voice was incredible but you couldn t quite figure out what he was saying, it just made them more alluring and mysterious, you can get why that band would become huge. it wasn t new wave, it wasn t a new romantic. they started calling it alternative music. it s the end of the world as we know it it s the end of the world as we know it and i feel fine fine, fine, fine you know, this is the thing about the 80s. everyone thinks it s about crazy haircuts, lots of makeup, insane clothes, and it was. but the thing about this music that lasts is that their songs were so good. you can go back and listen to those records, from the engineering to the musicianship
bowl game in history cancelled due to mother nature. minnesota dominated georgia tech, 34-10. tcu needed over time to top california 10-7. it wasn t a pretty game for both teams. they combined for nine interceptions. i was going to say, you know, the bowl that was cancelled because of weather, i thought all bowls were supposed to play in nice weather cities. usually that s the case, but not in that one. still ahead, new polling is taking a look at who democrats want to see run for the white house in 2020. plus, ruth bader ginsburg has been released from the hospital. here s a live look at air
there s a lot of outrage in the government. when i first met brett and a lot of other of these officials, it was 2014 when the islamic state group had taken over a third of iraq and syria. nobody wanted to go back to war there. everybody had an aversion based on the 2003 u.s. led invasion of iraq during the bush administration that had gone so badly, no weapons of mass destruction were found. nobody wanted to go back, however, they believed, the united states felt at the end and brett mcgurk being the face of the discussions, we needed to be there for our allies in iraq and help them regain control of the country when everything had gone so poorly and their military had crumbled. it wasn t a case of we want to go and be, you know, participating in wars around the country, it was about containing this threat, and people like brett mcgurk, people like general mattis, they still believe that the u.s. being on the ground in these places is absolutely necessary. it s not about fighting wars

reporter: the president, once again, is just making stuff up. cnn did an investigation showing that at least 16 associates of donald trump have had contacts with russia. many of them lied about it and several of them are now convicted felons. this is not peanut stuff. these are felonies that many of them engaged in and as we find out more about special counsel robert mueller s investigation, we ll see that we re not talking about peanuts. we re talking about felonies. the president also said something that stood out because we haven t heard about it before. this was about the hush money payments to women that he allegedly had affairs with. he told reuters, quote, it wasn t a campaign contribution. if it were, it s only civil and even if it s only civil, there was no violation based on what we did. first off, all kinds of problems with the statement factually. civil. it just doesn t measure up. the thing that stands out is ending part where he said what we did, because it s differen
