experienced it. it wasn t a partisan event. republicans and democrats were both in fear of their lives, and i think that the staffers overwhelming sentiment is we would like to have the commission passed to look into the facts and the circumstances surrounding the commission on january 6th. i think it is critical. i think this was an absolute attack on our democracy and there needs to be some sort of there needs to be a commission into the specifics surrounding the day of infamy. you know, i was working in the senate when timothy mcveigh bombed the federal building in oklahoma city, and immediately security was increased around those buildings, but the truth is we didn t really feel threatened by that event that happened in oklahoma. i was reading in roll call today what life is like there now. it is so stunning. there s a staffer who is quoted talking about, you know, when a suspicious package is identified, prior to january 6th

who can be strong and who has answers, and so i do think it was confusing to us as first, but it wasn t a partisan thing, it was an outsider versus insider thing. that s still alive. i think you heard a couple of democrats tonight on the stage try to speak to those voters. right. tim ryan of ohio certainly did. i thought she whe was speaking directly when he took on his own party for being coastal and elitist. by the way, bill de blasio, coastal and elitist, new york city mayor, but he also made the point at one point. very strong. the populist argument where he said it s the corporations that are to blame, not the immigrants. so i think he was going after those voters as el. well, and just getting back to elizabeth warren, it was mentioned that she didn t engage trump but her argument is that there are bigger things there s a bigger structural problem in this economy that transcends trump that she is running to try and remedy and goes to this the things that
him on yesterday, what he said is because the organizer that was in the community we were wokking wiwok i working with happened to bay affiliated with the democratic party, he felt this was a partisan event. it wasn t a partisan event. she was a democrat and connected with other pieces, once again that was not his call. that was certainly an issue of voter suppression. who is he to make a choice of grown able-bodied adults, where they are to go and associate with? latosha, you strike me as a very aggressive person which i applaud. should people who get in these situations next time when they feel there s some muscle coming at them from authority figures, and they really wonder should they be more pushy than your people were, should they just say, out of our face, we re going? is that possible in these situations to con frofront powe? you have to have a delicate balance.
