if that s your attitude, they will get out of there without taking and more votes in their lives. boehner said when pressed, he would cave and vote just for a big hunk of tax cuts for everybody else. if that was his only option. last night when we did the report on the small business owners that the republicans claim are left out of the obama tax cuts, they include multibillionaires, shouldn t even the most conservative democrat, the biggest blue dog love to have this ammunition. it snot just a question of they re a little tentative, they re throwing away some of the best material they ve been handed in 40 years. right. in politics, right, you re looking for this diagram, which is things that are good policy, things that you believe in, right? and things that are popular. a lot of things don t fall in that middle intersection. we should raise energy. we should raise the price of energy a tremendous amount to forestall global warming. that s not popular.

something like a one fourth of the increase in the first year, three forurths and then the ful tax hike by the third year and cost somewhere close to $50 billion to $60 billion and would be prudent. of course, that s based on my judgment that the economic recovery is still very fragile, that we shouldn t take that gamble. it sounds like tim geithner, the treasury secretary, disagrees with your position on this one saying that the economy can withstand an immediate rollback of those bush tax cuts. how much will it cost if those if those cuts aren t rolled back? it would add to the deficit, would it snot. yeah. i mean, if we don t allow the tax increases to take hold over a ten-year period, it would cost about $500 billion. so it is real money. and i m not arguing that the tax increases shouldn t occur but down the road and i think in 2012, 2013, 14, the economy on sound ground and off and running
will it happen? this is the holy grail of the pharmaceutical industry, is it snot. reporter: certainly one of the holy grails. the drug called qnexa. it s got one of the ingredients that was a diet drug taken off the market ten years ago and no good diet drugs since then that was phen-fen and worked pretty well and caused severe heart problems. this one has one of the ingredients of the first phen but not the second f 0e fen. the tests submitted to the fda shows that people at the highest doses lost 10% of their body weight along with diet and exercise and didn t suffer adverse consequences but others say the side effects are sleeplessness and could be an unpleasant experience. of course, so many people that want to lose 10% or more of body weight that there s a huge
