december tornadoes, touching down, even though they re calling it quad state, in six states in a matter of four hours. dozens of people remain missing at this hour. this town is talking about its resilience. take a listen to its mayor, kathy stewart. right now what we need from people who are standing in this room and directly other people is just to pray for us. and we will be fine. it s going to take us a while. we will be fine. well, what took place in this town is being called one of the worst natural disasters that this country has ever witnessed. right now, hundreds of thousands of people in the region are without power. many of them without shelter. i m going to show you some of that in just a couple of moments. let s just discuss the power. it was 23 degrees a couple of hours ago. it s now about 28 degrees here. so it s well below freezing, and there are no traffic lights, there are no street lights, and there is not power going to houses. there s gas lines damaged. it s a
