Perth and the outer-metropolitan area of Peel have also been placed in a three-day Covid-19 lockdown, beginning at 12.01am on Saturday, April 24 (Western Australia time).
Yesterday, 1000 passengers who arrived in New Zealand on direct flights from Perth on April 19, 21 and 23 were being contacted and provided with advice. Of those, two people from the same household have let health authorities know they were in the Perth domestic terminal at the time specified in the locations of interest page.

The city s initial locally acquired cases which triggered a snap three-day lockdown, were caused by virus spread in the corridors of the hotel, infecting a man staying adjacent to an infected couple who returned from India.
He had tested negative before returning home to Victoria, spending time in venues across Perth, and infecting a female friend.
Her case was revealed on Friday but counted on Saturday.

The risk to New Zealand remains low, the Ministry of Health said.

The case s household contacts have so far tested negative for the coronavirus, but three locations of interest have been identified - a mall food court, a hardware store and an ice cream parlour.
