KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) registered 8.3 million total passenger movements in February, of which 3.9 million were international passengers.
KUALA LUMPUR (March 24): Driven by the school holidays in Malaysia and increased flight frequencies by airlines in Türkiye, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) recorded higher daily average passengers for its 39 airports in February, compared to last month. “Despite February being a shorter month, total passenger movements at the group’s network of airports continued to be buoyant, and recorded higher daily average passengers by 1,400 compared to January 2023,” MAHB said in a statement on Friday (March 24).
Local airports within the Malaysia Airports Group (the Group) registered 6.3 million total passenger traffic movements for the month of January 2023. This is the second consecutive month in which total traffic hit the 6 million mark and it represents 75.0% recovery against pre-pandemic levels. International traffic fared well with 2.8 million passenger movements recorded, similar to levels seen in December 2022.
