Around 10.42 am on May 29, a three-staged GSLV rocket carrying the 2,232 kg NVS-01 satellite, part of the Indian satellite navigation system NavIC, was launched from Sriharikota.
The powerful GSLV rocket, which had three stages, stood tall at a height of 51.7 meters and weighed a staggering 420 tons. At 10.42 a.m., it took off into the sky, successfully escaping the strong pull of Earth's gravity.

The countdown is the final phase prior to launch where the launch vehicle's liquid and cryogenic fuels are filled and the final health checks of crucial systems are carried out.
