Mahalia and Rico Nasty have dropped their joint single ‘Jealous’, after teasing it earlier this week.
Alongside the song, which is backed by delicately-plucked guitars, the duo have released a haunting music video.
Directed by Melody Maker, the video sees Mahalia enlist Rico’s help in breaking into a man’s home where the two proceed to taunt him in various ways.

‘Jealous’ marks the first release this year from Mahalia, and the second from Rico following ‘Lil Bitch’ with Chillpill and Soleima.
Both artists released records in 2020, Mahalia with her three-track EP ‘Isolation Tapes’ and Rico with her debut album, ‘Nightmare Vacation’. ‘Isolation Tapes’ won Mahalia the Best Female Act and Best R&B/Soul Act categories at the 2020 MOBO Awards.
This Week in Records (8/2/2021) – Hayley Williams, Foo Fighters and Bad Sounds
Concrete and Gold, I was worried that Foo Fighters’ newest album,
Medicine at Midnight, wouldn’t live up to its predecessor.
Medicine at Midnight certainly brought something new to the table but was still a massively enjoyable listen.
The thing about each new Foo Fighters record is that they’re always using the same ingredients, but just remixing them in a different way to get something new every time. You get those classic Foos elements that we all know and love, like Dave Grohl’s long drawn out notes, the heavy drumming, the twangy guitar, but they’re mixed together slightly differently to get something to blow you off your feet yet again.
