folks of the what you re telling me is completely scary and shocking. on friday you re being told there was russian hacking and scanning. by tuesday, there wasn t. and we re still ten months out and you have a president who isn t sure there was any hacking at all from foreign powers. i appreciate you joining us. your response. your thoughts. score one for vladimir putin, right? whether wisconsin s he systems were scanned or not, the fact russia has managed to cause this amount of doubt and confusion about america s electoral systems is exactly what putin was setting out to do when he was interfering. this probably goes beyond his wildest wishes. he can cause confusion, he can cause the government to tell wisconsin, wisconsin that s the have spent the last three days looking at their systems, trying to figure out where to beef up
that many people who live here in this corner of southwest florida measure all storms be. and even talking to the mayor today asked him what do you expect and fear the most here as the worst of hurricane irma makes its way on shore. the storm surge, 10 to 15 feet and being on the right edge of that eye wall could also be create some of the fiercest winds and that is of great concern. even the mayor here isn t sure you can compare what that experience was to what this experience is going to be over the course of the next 24 hours. but that s the way it is here. people along the coastlines measure their experiences by previous storms. people here bracing for the worst. the good news here is that many people heeded those warnings.
president didn t seem particularly engaged. you have the new white house communication director even now saying the president isn t sure the russians did the hacking. all of this is crib contributed to a very very troubling situation for leadership. we had johnny freeman on my show, he said don t make no mistake every day american soft power is declining in the world. every day people are looking at this and viewing the united states as a political analyze of dysfunction and bankruptcy. and europe is not relying on the u.s. for anything? what s happening in europe, the europeans have taken charge in a substantial way than you could have imagined. you ve got the french president standing up to putin in a way that donald trump so far has never done. you have the german tranceler articulating defense and western values in a way the american

you know, climate change. there s, like, huge political and geopolitical issues, and having a relationship doesn t fix that. having a relationship doesn t fix that. it hopefully helps you do the stuff you can or must do when world crises strike, but to the point, a long list of, what did they say about syria and iran? how much did north korea because of recent missile tests jump into the conversation? hopefully find out in the moment ahead as the meeting breaks up. a big question, what, if anything, will the president of the united states say about russian election meddling. the white house isn t sure if he will address it. a hint yesterday from the president from poland, it was muddled. well, i think it was russia and i think it could have been other people and other countries. now, people who wanted to take a hard line say that s not the way to do it.
