Rampaging bandits have killed two people in Kaduna State following multiple attacks on communities, including an attack on the convoy of the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril Mai Gwari II.
In a statement on Wednesday in Kaduna, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said security agencies had reported âseveral notable incidences across the state in the past 48 hoursâ.
He said one person was killed in Kitansa village, Kauru Local Government Area, while the second person was killed along the Buruku-Mando road, Igabi LGA.
The commissioner said the attack on the emirâs convoy occurred on Monday at about 4:30pm, adding that the emir was already in Kaduna when the bandits struck.
