As a chinese america, with a daughter who is chinese and japaneseamerica who is 15yearold, i want our young folk and future generations to know the stories that are told in these chambers today and allow those stories and that spirit to transform them as well as we move forward with a history and with a passion for peace and justice like lee. Right behind me you can see the streets are still filled with water even at this point. As a matter of fact this motorist trying to make their way through. Weve been told motorists should stay away from this area. Do not go around the barricades. We did see one car that actually went down caved in, because the road underneath the surface had caved in. That vehicle actually went in to the water. It doesnt look like this water is going to recede any time soon. They had a water main break yesterday. They tried to repair it using a valve. When they turned the valve, that broke. A 36inch transmission water line was also impacted. Thats why you still see all this water on the street.
