A new book on the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Rhode Island features the stories of local residents, including those who served in CCC camps in North Smithfield, Foster and Glocester.
Marty Podskoch is a Connecticut resident who spent the past six years documenting the CCC camps of Connecticut and Rhode Island. In April, he visited the area for a research trip on the camps of northern Rhode Island, one of several trips he’s made to the state since 2014.
