Islamic Spain rule was between 711-1492 = 781 years - almost eightcenturies when the Jews were doing extremely well. Muslim rule ofSpain ended on January 2, 1492 and the Edict of the Expulsion ofthe Jews from Spain was signed on March 31, 1492. The Edict wasvery tough in language and it gave a warning to the Jews that ifthey were found in Spain after they were given orders to get outthat the penalty would be death. Why is it that the Christiansseem to have a very good understanding of the Jews but the Muslimsseem to be so ignorant about them? Why was it that the Christianscould see the evil that the Jews could cause to their societieswhere they lived but not the Muslims? It was the descendants ofthe Jews that had a glorious life under the Muslim rule in Spainthat would come to Palestine and they committed so many horrificcrimes such as rapes, massacres, expulsion of 90% of theindigenous population.
