Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared in a local court in Islamabad for the first time after returning from London. The court cases against him, which were stopped due to his absence, are set to resume. Sharif marked his attendance to show that he has surrendered before the court. He was allowed to leave after the judge witnessed his presence. Sharif is also scheduled to appear before the Islamabad High Court in relation to other corruption cases.
