Now black farmers protest, hold up traffic in Durban
The SA Farmers Development Association has called for DA MP, Annette Steyn s head, after she queried its R158 million in government funding.
Scores of members of the SA Farmers Development Association (SAFDA) held up traffic when they marched to the Democratic Alliance’s offices in Durban calling for the removal of MP Annette Steyn on Wednesday.
Protestors marched from Goble Road to Intersite Avenue holding banners and calling for the DA’s spokesperson on Agriculture, Forestries and Fisheries to be removed.
This was after Steyn questioned why the non-profit organisation, SAFDA, had received R158 million from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD).
