The two best players on what might be New Mexico’s best boys basketball team were in full bloom Friday night.
Seniors Nate Hasberry and Tre Watson combined for 49 points, and Cleveland, ranked No. 1 in Class 5A, went on the road and beat No. 3 Volcano Vista 74-67 in District 1-5A.
“It was very difficult for us to keep Tre and Nate from doing what those two do best,” Hawks coach Greg Brown said.
