The man accused in the May 6 North Elm Street shooting was arraigned on his charges Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court.
Marshawn Taylor, 25, appeared in Judge Andrew Selfâs court via Zoom while at the Christian County Jail while his new defense attorney, David Rye, appeared in person for the arraignment hearing.
Rye waived the formal reading of his indictment and officially entered a not guilty plea on Taylorâs behalf as Rye prepares to defend his client.
Rye advised the court he has received evidence in the case from Christian County Assistant Commonwealthâs Attorney Jerad Smith, but has not yet reviewed the evidence with Taylor.
