Staring a 9-7 deficit with 19:38 to play, the Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Lacrosse Team ended the game with seven unanswered goals to defeat Tusculum on Monday evening. Cathleen Gaffney had a goal and three assists in the final 20 minutes to lead the Bears to the comeback win. The Bears held Tusculum scoreless for the final 19:38 of the game.
Suzy Smith led the Bears with four goals and Michelle Tang added three. Gaffney finished the game with two goals and four assists.
Makenna Filley and Frances Williams each scored twice and Alyssa Sack added a score. Williams led the squad with five ground balls and five draw controls and added a pair of caused turnovers.
