ROCKPORT The Camden Hills varsity girls lacrosse team was edged out at home Monday, May 17 in a nail-biter against Mount Ararat.
The host Windjammers fell to the visiting Eagles 10-9, after being knotted at six at the halftime pause.
Leading the offensive charge for the Windjammers were Ruby Cohen (assist), Anna Griebel (goal), Isabella Ward (goal), Sofia Mott (two goals), Caroline Contento (goal two assists), Alexia Cazemajou (two assists), Anya Babb-Brott (three goals) and Ella Powers (goal).
Scoring for Mount Ararat were E. Dauulerio (two goals), M. Kinney (six goals), G. Phillips (goal) and E. Harty (goal). First names were not available.
The showground is a huge site which is naturally spaced out in the fresh air. At the moment internet sales are looking quite good. It is early days.
